Dizzy Penalties raise money for Hospice

Today at 11:15 Friday 22nd January a charity fundraiser for South Tipp Hospice was held in the all-weather pitches. The event was organised by three fifth year students Johnny Coveney, Aaron Condon and Darragh Conway as part as their enterprise project along with their teacher Ms Harrahill. Last December students signed up and donated €2.50 each to take part in “Dizzy Penalties”. The aim is to spin in a circle until dizzy and attempt to take a penalty while disorientated. The number of spins increased the more you scored but if you missed you were knocked out.  This was an often hilarious and fun way of raising money. Students and teachers alike enjoyed the sight of their friends trying to shoot at goal while in a tizzy.
The eventual winner was Dean O’Brien.
