Fashion Show

Fashion Show

On the the 30th of March, Colaiste Dun Iascaigh hosted a fashion extravaganza showcasing fashions from a variety of locations in and around our community. Local shops from Cahir, Clonmel, Tipperary, Mitchelstown and even as far as Cobh were shown. There were pop-up shops from local entrepreneurs displaying some of the wonderful products and services available in the community.
The proceeds of the night will go towards developing facilities in the school. Some funds will also go to our students Ciara Hickey, Zoe Lynch, Rebecca O’ Dwyer and Cian Burke who will travel to Lourdes soon and a donation will be made to Alana Bourke, a past pupil who is travelling to India in June, to work with children who have been orphaned as a result of HIV/AIDS and extreme poverty.
Two other past pupils, Johnny B O’ Brien and Caoimhe Hickey were Comperes on the night. Johnny B is one half of The Two Johnnies. Caoimhe is a blogger who discusses fashion and lifestyle on her blog “It’s All About M.E.”. They were very professional and created a night of fun entertainment.
It was great to see the whole school community come together – parents, students and teachers were involved modelling and working backstage. The Parents Association assisted in providing refreshments during the interval, and selling tickets for the raffle. We would like to thank all the local shops and businesses for donating some wonderful spot prizes.
The night was a great success and a substantial amount of money was raised for the various causes. The school was very proud of the dedication shown by all involved
